Sparkes Legal Eagles Walking for a Cure
Story
For the last 2 years, Sparke Helmore Lawyers has supported the Avners Pancreatic Walk to help raise funds and awareness for pancreatic cancer.
This aggressive and deadly cancer is very close to the hearts of many staff in our Adelaide office, who are either experiencing a loved one battling pancreatic cancer or have lost family to this aggressive and deadly disease.
The Avner Pancreatic Cancer Foundation is the only Foundation in Australia dedicated exclusively to Pancreatic Cancer. We have seen with breast cancer that the statistics have changed, early detection and survival rates increased as a result of raising awareness and contributing funds towards research. Australia leads the world in research (Garvan Institute) but unfortunately there is very little funding in this area.
The Vision of the Foundation is - "To break through 40 years of no progress by doubling the number of people who survive Pancreatic Cancer by 2020"
Our team is aiming to raise money to assist the Avner Foundation in achieving this vision and welcome any contribution, great or small, that you can make!

PanKind Australian Pancreatic Cancer Foundation Limited
PanKind The Australian Pancreatic Cancer Foundation is exclusively dedicated to pancreatic cancer and represents, supports and advocates for all Australians impacted by the disease. We have a focus on early detection research to ultimately increase survival rates and quality of life for Australians impacted by the disease. Only with this laser focus and commitment to solving the pancreatic cancer problem will we see results, and this represents the greatest hope for pancreatic cancer patients and their families.
PanKind has invested over $11 million into cutting-edge pancreatic cancer research at Australia's top institutions since 2007 and we are committed to making an impact on one of the deadliest cancers with a mission to triple the survival rate by 2030. We want individuals and organisations to join us on the journey so we can solve the problem together. PanKind, The Australian Pancreatic Cancer Foundation. www.pankind.org.au
